Capcom has announced that a Resident Evil: Revelations HD demo is heading west and will be available on all platforms; PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. The publisher didn’t give us any release dates but did say it’s coming “soon.”
A source close to Capcom, let’s call him Gob, has told Geimaku that the next Resident Evil is already in the works and that it’ll be next-gen.
Gob told us that it’ll be a spin-off. We’re thinking a sequel to Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City; you know that terrible Slant Six-developed game from 2012. He didn’t tell us who’s developing it, however. Let’s just hope it isn’t Slant Six, which it probably is, since RE ORC was a huge success with more than 2 million units sold.
The game will be available for PlayStation 4, the next Xbox, and PC, Gob told. And before he went away, he told us to expect an official announcement later this year. Maybe E3 or TGS.
Resident Evil Revelations on consoles and PC will have Rachel as a playable character in its Raid mode, along with HUNK. Today, Capcom released new gameplay footage and screenshots from the game showing off Rachel as she fights for survival aboard the Queen Zenobia.
With the PC version of Resident Evil 6 launching today, Capcom has released the first video featuring Left 4 Dead 2′s Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle. These characters are playable in the PC exclusive Mercenaries No Mercy mode, “with The Witch and Mini Tank appearing as additional enemies or players to take down, regardless of whether a character from Left 4 Dead 2 or Resident Evil 6 is chosen.”
The DLC is free and will be automatically downloaded to the PC version of Resident Evil 6 starting April 5. Gameplay and screenshots of the game’s Onslaught mode below.
Capcom today announced that Rachel will be playable in Resident Evil Revelations HD’s Raid mode as a brand new playable character, alongside HUNK. Players will be able to play as both characters at PAX East on the Capcom booth #948.
The re-release will also feature two brand new enemies, including the Wall Blister and “a surprise new creature that appears in Raid Mode once players have reached a certain level.”

Its been confirmed that all enemies and items will be randomized during each playthrough to maximize replayability.
This seems like not just a good idea to maxmize game time, but a good way to maximize scares and tension.
Resident Evil: Revelations will be released by Capcom on May 21st in North America, May 23rd in Japan and May 24th in Europe. It will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo WiiU, and PC.
