PlayStation 3 versions of Resident Evil 6 has issues

Are you one of those who dowloaded Resident Evil 6 from the PlayStation Store pre-loaded? If so, your game probably has some issues.

In a statement given to IGN, Capcom confirms that PlayStation 3 versions of the game which have been pre-loaded from the PlayStation Store have some issues. After downloading a day one patch players have been unable to load the game.

Capcom says if you’re having this error, you should unintall and reinstall the game. The game should load normal after that. There will be no patch prompt. However, if the game does load normal after this, it will still have some issues. One is that you won’t be able to play online with those who use the disc.

“We are working with SCEE to fix this issue and a patch is imminent to fix the issue,” Capcom said. “Please note that those people who downloaded the game from the PSN store originally won’t be able to access RE.net at this time, but this will be fixed by the imminent patch.”

Resident Evil 6 is out now for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A review round-up can be found here.
