Sly-Cooper-Thieves-In-Time_28 Years have passed since Sucker Punch graced us with Sly 3. After leaving the franchise in the hands of Sanzaru, the team decided to focus on the Infamous series and is now pursuing other horizons.

Thankfully, the racoon and his gang are in capable hands. After all the hard work that went into the whole franchise, they are now fully aware of what the games are all about.

Following last week’s “Panopticon” trailer, Sony Japan announces “Freedom Wars”, a PlayStation Vita multiplayer action game, scheduled for release in 2014.

“The player is a criminal in a post-apocalyptic near future, sentenced to a million years of hard labor, fighting for his freedom,” a Japanese press release reads according to a NeoGAF user, “By completing missions where you rescue civilians and allies who have been captured by huge enemies known as Abductors, you can reduce your sentence.”

The game supports a maximum of 8 players at a time in both co-op and competitive modes, and players all over Japan can play together via the Wi-Fi and Adhoc.

The announcement was accompanied by a new less mysterious trailer and a few screenshots.

Today, Level 5 showed off a trailer for the upcoming 3DS game Youkai Watch.

The trailer shows off the many Youkai in the game and so far it’s looking like a cute game from the team behind Ni No Kuni and Dark Cloud. Let’s hope this gets imported to the West people.

Youkai Watch will be released by Level 5 on June 11th in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS.

Go beyond the break to see the trailer. Also I will have wittier jokes later I’m just tired.

gowfeatIt’s always a pleasure to talk about action games. Look, for instance, on the daring leap that Santa Monica has taken with this game. A multiplayer mode in a franchise with five big entries focused solely on single-player. Sure: it’s Sony. They’ve got money.

Even so, it doesn’t hurt to play it safe, specially when you’ve got a potential God of War 4 or Descent or… Betrayal HD.

OSK3f7aa0_Final_Fantasy_VIINostalgia plays a big role when you decide to play this game again. While we are quite far from the oft-requested HD remake, some people would be satisfied to have slight improvements such as upscaled graphics and pristine sound quality.

But we are talking about Square Enix, so you can bet there is a catch. Prepare for some tradeoffs (or rather, sacrifices) if you’re willing to pay 12 gil, specially if you really want to play the same game from 1997.

Before I go any further: Its SAM-UR-AI not SAHM-UR-AI!

OK, I got that out of my system. Yesterday, Atlus released an english trailer for the latest American entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The trailer shows off the voice acting which is not bad except for what I mentioned above, the stellar 3D graphics and some impressive cutscenes. The game is looking to be a great addition to the 3DS library this July.

Shin Megami Tensei IV will be released by Atlus in Japan on May 23rd, North America on July 17th and Europe in Summer 2013.

The first bit of info is the main city of the Kalros region called Lumiose City which features a large tower based of the Eiffel Tower, also in an update from Sunday’s Pokemon news the English names for the Pokemon we covered have been revealed. Elikiteru is now Helioptile and Yayakoma is now Fletching, Pancham and Gogoat are the still the same name. Helioptile has a new move exclusive to X/Y called Parabolic Charge which attacks everything around it and takes half the damage as a HP restoration move, Fletchling has a fire type move called Flame Charge that increases its speed every time it’s used. Pancham’s move Parting Shot allows it to switch out in battle along with lowering the special and normal attack of his enemies and Gogoat uses Horn Leech to recover HP every time the move is used and is alos used as transport. Yes, you get mounts in Pokemon.

Yup. That joke never gets old.

Capcom put a video on it’s youtube page showing off the preorder bonus of combo moves for Remember Me. If you ever played Street Fighter then these combo’s seem familiar. The Dragon Punch, Flash Kick and Spinning Bird Kick are used by Ken Masters, Guile and Chun Li respectively. I cannot believe my knowledge of things like this actually came into play.
However the bonus’s can only be preordered from Amazon, Best Buy and Steam.

Remember Me will be released by Capcom Worldwide on June 7th for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
