Good news for PC gamers! Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming to the platform. This was first revealed by director Hideo Kojima during his podcast and later confirmed by Jean Pierre Kellams, creative producer at Platinum Games, via Twitter.

Along with the announcement, the publisher released the debut trailer which has a beautiful visual style and absolutely gorgeous music to go along with it.


Square Enix has released new screenshots and artwork for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The new images include artwork of Bahamut, Odin, and new monsters, as well as screenshots of the locations that can be found across the city states of Eorzea.

A Realm Reborn is scheduled to enter the third phase of closed beta testing in June. Beta phase three will introduce PlayStation 3 users to the game for the very first time, where they will be able to experience the world of Eorzea alongside PC players due to the game’s cross-platform functionality.

acttil logoFormer NIS America members Jack Niida, Hiroko Kanazashi, and Nao Miyazawa has formed a new, independent game publisher called “acttil” in Los Angeles. The new publisher will handle titles for PC, consoles, web, and mobile platforms, alongside digital contents such as eBooks.

Acttil will provide marketing expertise, analytics, monetization strategies, game feedback, and sales plans to independent developers and help them publish and localize their games.

“We are optimistic with the current digital content environment,” says Jack Niida founding member of acttil. “It is quite promising for independent developers and we would love to work closely with them and help achieve their goals.“


This week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu has a feature on The Evil Within AKA Psycho Break in Japan, the next survival horror from the mind of Shinji Mikami, which was announced last week. The feature reveals the face of Sebastian, the game’s lead character, as well as the names of his partners; Joseph Oda and Julie “Kid” Kidman.

The Evil Within launches on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and next-gen consoles in 2014.

Project ZWEI has been officially announced by publisher Bethesda Softworks as The Evil Within. The game is currently being developed at Tango Gameworks under the direction of Shinji Mikami and is releasing on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, as well as next generation consoles sometime in 2014.

“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” said Mikami. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”

Project X Zone, the crossover tactical RPG for the Nintendo 3DS, will be released in North America on June 25, publisher Namco Bandai announced today. The game will also be localized in Europe and Australia but as release date has not been set yet.

It was released in Japan last October has features characters from Namco Bandai Games, Capcom, and Sega.

A port based on the North American Xbox 360 version of Agarest: Generations of War, a Strategy RPG from Idea Factory & Compile Hearts, is coming to Steam, Ghostlight has announced. It is currently passing through Steam Greenlight and will be the first PC port of a JRGP from the publisher.

“This is a truly exciting time for us here at Ghostlight and if this title is successful on PC we are hoping to be able to port more console JRPG’s to PC,” a release sent to Geimaku reads.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, the turn-based RPG from Square Enix for Nintendo 3DS, will be localized for North America and Europe, Siliconera reports. The site confirmed this with “multiple trusted” sources at GDC. Square hasn’t announced a western release yet, however. But we’ll drop them an email.


Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan will be released across Europe this summer, publisher NIS America has announced, along with new screenshots and box-art.

Developed by Atlus, the Nintendo 3DS-exclusive saw release in Japan last year and in the U.S. this February. About time it came to Europe, eh? Anyhow — it will be available in physical and digital download versions on the Nintendo eShop. Hit the link for screenshots, box-art, and key features.
