I never thought I would ever post anything from EA on this site. I think I just broke one of the 10 gaming commandments.
Anyway, DICE has released case art for the PS4 and X1(Yes, That is what I will be calling the Xbox One since that looks better) game Battlefield 4 and this might be a sign of what the case borders might be. The design for case borders is one of the things that changes every generation and it seems to be the case here.
Both the PS4 and X1 will be released this year.
It seems Capcom will be releasing Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles Of Mystara in a disc form on PS3 in Japan.
This is not unusual due to some downloadable games being released on discs in Japan and Europe. The disc version will cost about 3,990 yen and is being called a limited edition but nothing has been announced about it’s contents.
Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles Of Mystara will be release by Capcom for the Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, Nintendo Wii U eShop and PC this June worldwide.
Today, Level 5 showed off a trailer for the upcoming 3DS game Youkai Watch.
The trailer shows off the many Youkai in the game and so far it’s looking like a cute game from the team behind Ni No Kuni and Dark Cloud. Let’s hope this gets imported to the West people.
Youkai Watch will be released by Level 5 on June 11th in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS.

Today, the big reveal for Microsoft’s new console revealed the XBOX ONE, the third in the line of the successful Xbox series.
The system will contain a 500gb hard drive, Blu Ray drive, built in Wifi, an 8-core processor and 3.0 USB ports. The system will also come standard with the newly upgraded kinect and a newly rebuilt controller. Sadly, the game has no Backwards compatability due to the processor but at least Microsoft explained why the system has no BC rather than just tell us it’s selling us our old stuff. Microsoft also states it will still support the 360 with games and apps.

I need to explain something. when you make a female version of a character, you need to make it female. Shape, look, style and design. What you do not do is add female hands, legs and a miniskirt made from the jacket the character. All I ask is if you going with sexy legs add hair and a sleeveless version of HUNK’s outfit.
In case you cannot tell, I think the first paid character DLC for Resident Evil: Revelations HD is stupid. The first DLC pack features a character called Lady Hunk who is HUNK with lady legs and hands and a mutated Rachel. The 2 characters will cost $2.99 or 240 MSP. Also announced are weapon upgrade packs for Jill, Jessica and Parker at .99 or 80 MSP and Raid Mode specific weapon upgrade packs for 160 MSP or 1.99. Resident Evil: Revelations will be released by Capcom on May 21st in North America, May 23rd in Japan and Australia and May 24th in Europe for the Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC.

Announced last week during Nintendo Direct Japan, Sega is bringing the Yakuza 1&2 HD Collection to the Wii U.
The set will feature the first 2 Yakuza games with all the upgrades done on the PS3 version along with the ability to play the game on the gamepad and see the maps on the gamepad. The Yakuza games have been released overseas as well so a North America or Europe release might be possible.
Yakuza 1&2 HD collection will be released by Sega in Japan for the Wii U in 2013. No international release has been announced. The PS3 version is available now in Japan.

For those who do not know, Final Fantasy VIII had a PC release back in the early millenium and now it’s back.
Famitsu reports the PC rerelease of Final Fantasy VIII will feature high resolution graphics and the Chocobo World Mini-RPG which was only accessible with the pocket station.
The game will be available for the PC in Japan this year. There is no announcement of a North American or European release.

Today Konami released the release date for the North American release of the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection.
This set comes with nearly every single MGS game available on the PS1, PS2 and PS3 and a 100 page artbook with promo art from around the globe. The set will retail for $49.99 and be 2 discs long. Above you can see the set.
Too much Nintendo, Too little time. In previous Nintendo Directs Iwata stated that this year is The Year of Luigi and one of the items announced was New Super Luigi U. Now we have release info and pricing.
The game will be a 4 player game as before but instead of Mario it’s Luigi that’s the main character. Replacing Mario is the character Nebbit who is invincible but cannot use power ups. The game will be available digitally on June 20th in North America for $19.99 and in Europe for an unknown price with a physical release coming July 26th in Europe and August 20th in North America for $29.99. No prices for the European releases have been announced.

In what could be the biggest shake up in terms of E3 history, Nintendo announced that they have teamed up with Best Buy to bring select E3 demos to Best Buy stores in North America and Canada this June.
The stores will feature demos of both Wii U and 3DS games. Nintendo did something like this for the Wii U in December of last year and I was able to try the system then which influenced me to buy a basic system and a copy of Zombi U. This year Nintendo has forgone E3 and is instead bringing everything to the public with Nintendo Direct and now this. Nintendo seems more interested in listening to the response of the people than trying to make money and although they lost money this year it seems like the old days of the gamer comes first might be coming back.
E3 will be June 11-13. Xbox will have it’s conference on June 10th along with Sony. Nintendo stated they will have a Nintendo Direct around this time.
Today, Nintendo announced on Nintendo Direct that the latest Sonic game Sonic: Lost World will be exclusive to Nintendo Consoles.
this is good news to people like me since if you ever played a Sonic game in the last 10 years the trend seems to be the best games are on Nintendo Consoles. Sonic Advance, Sonic: Dark BrotherHood, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations 3DS version, Sonic Rush. Anything cross platform: Sonic Unleashed, Sonic 2006, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Generations seems to be way below quality. Let’s hope this keeps the trend of great Sonic games on Nintendo when the game is released.
Time Sinks. They exist as a way to distract you from the many problems or things you need to figure out during the day. They range from crossword puzzles, sudoku, repairing things and in my case cooking. Games themselves are time sinks but the cheaper they get the more people buy them. In the terms of social games the most popular are games where you run a town, park or in the case of Publisher’s Dream: A video game company.

I have ran out of ways to say how insane this game is. It’s not even funny how insane it is now.
Yesterday, Kadokawa games detailed the first run bonus’s which will be included with Killer is Dead in first run copies. The first item is Betty, a fourth mondo girl who is a vampire and has the gigalo mission Bloodsucking Tempress, the second item is Episode 51: The Man Who Stole the Blood which will also feature Betty and the final item is an indestructible pair of gigolo glasses called the Super Mondo Eye which no matter how displeased you make a girl they will never break.
All this game needs is a girl from space, a ninja temptress and a pirate princess and it hits a 10.0 on the fetish meter.

OK, I got that out of my system. Yesterday, Atlus released an english trailer for the latest American entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The trailer shows off the voice acting which is not bad except for what I mentioned above, the stellar 3D graphics and some impressive cutscenes. The game is looking to be a great addition to the 3DS library this July.
Shin Megami Tensei IV will be released by Atlus in Japan on May 23rd, North America on July 17th and Europe in Summer 2013.

Today, or yesterday it’s different time zones to be honest. The site for Dairy Fencer F went live.
The site shows off the first screenshots of the game. The shots show off the battle systems menu design, the main character facing monsters and a piece of location art. The game is shaping up and has a lot to live up too with it’s pedigree.
Fairy Fencer F will be released by Compile Heart in 2013 in Japan for the PS3. No word on a international release.

Hot off the heels of the Charizard 3DSLL (Get it?), we have news that a new 3DSLL will be released in Japan.
THE 3DSLL will be based off the split personality Pokemon Eevee who with the power of stones, darkness, friendship and whatever else is on My Little Pony this week can evolve into multiple forms of Pokemon with multiple elements. The 3DSLL will have a striped top with Eevee printed on the back of the console. The console will retail for 18,900¥ and a lottery will be held to guarantee preorders.

Today The Pokemon Company released new screenshots from the latest entry in the Pokemon series X/Y.
The screenshots show off the scenery of the Kalros region and show off the 3D graphics of the game. On display as well are the new Pokemon revealed earlier this week showing off their new battle moves. The game is looking good and I cannot wait for it’s release this Fall.
Pokemon X/Y will be released by Nintendo worldwide this October for the Nintendo 3DS.
